This workshop will take place at Freedom Miniatures, 45 Webster Street, Kentville, NS
This workshop explores ways to use paints, washes and pigments to give miniatures a realistic aged, weathered and worn look. You will try out these techniques yourself using supplied materials. You can choose to make your pieces look slightly worn or extremely worn – you get to indulge your preferences!
You will learn how to
- give an exterior building wall a realistic outdoors look
- make an aged downspout and rain barrel
- age a wooden door to look like one that has been around for decades
- add age, colour and weathering to a wooden door using various products
- give indoor furniture a look consistent with a home that has been lived in a bit
- give things a more realistic look
Participants will also learn how to add realistic looking water to the rain barrel.
